October 3rd, 2021 is a day that will forever be etched in my memory. It's the day my world was shattered, the day my heart was broken into a million pieces. My wife Tasha and I had been expecting our precious son, Raymond Akil Ager, but he was born sleeping, leaving us with a grief that's impossible to put into words.

In the darkest moments of our lives, we found solace in each other and in our community. We realized that we weren't alone in our pain, and that there were others who had experienced similar losses. We wanted to do something to honor Raymond's memory, to keep his spirit alive, and to create a positive impact on our community.

That's when the idea of the Steel City Bobcats was born. We envisioned a men's developmental football organization that would provide a supportive and inclusive environment for players, families, and fans to come together and celebrate the sport we love. We wanted to create a space where people could find comfort, healing, and a sense of purpose.

Our Journey

Over the past year, a dedicated team has worked tirelessly to bring this vision to life. We've navigated various leagues, including the Gridiron Developmental Football League (GDFL), Premier Football League (PFL), and Tri-Point Football League.

Our Progress

• In our inaugural season, we showed promise but fell short of our goals.

• Season two saw us loading up our roster, only to come up just short in the conference championship.

• Our third season brought significant success, with only one natural loss, but unfortunately, politics prevented us from advancing to the playoffs.

• Last season, we experienced turbulence but still managed to secure a playoff win, ultimately falling short in the conference final.

New Chapter, Same Goal

As we enter our fifth season, we're proud to join the Premier Amateur Football League (PAFL). With a reinvigorated roster and championship aspirations, we're driven to succeed. Our ultimate goal remains: to secure a championship title in honor of Raymond Akil Ager.
